Then we will move the race to Roger Soler Sports in Helotes. Go to www.rogersoler.com for a map of that location.
Well again, your race number became more valuable today. And yes it does involve Beer. If you take your race number to the bar, called The Highlander, formerly called Lyndy’s on Fredricksburg road, they will give you one free Beer. Nice, right.
I really hope you don’t mind the emails, but when someone wants to give you something for free, I’m sure you want to know about it right?
The race start tomorrow is at 8199 Mainland. This is between 1604 and 410 on the west side of Bandera Road, right beside a Walmart. You can park in the Walmart parking lot, please park as far away from the front of the store as a courtesy to Walmart shoppers. Maps are posted at www.scallywompus.com make sure that you are logged into get a chance at the two night stay at the Hilton Hill Country Resort and Spa.
Keep your race number as it will get you several things:
- 15% discount at Roger Soler’s Sports.
- At the race you will get a chance to win $100 gift certificates (must be present to win).
- This Friday night, bring your race number to the Holiday Inn Airport (on 410) and receive a discount for the pasta dinner and overnight stays.
- If you are race entrant and are registered as a user on Scallywompus.com, you could win a free over night stay at the Holiday Inn Airport (Go to the website www.scallywompus.com and join.)
- There will also be a drawing from the Scallywompus list and the race entrants for a free two night stay at the Hilton San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa.

More important race details!
- On-line registration will remain open until Thursday night at Midnight. Remember if you register on line, then run over right away to pick up a packet, they may not know about you until the next day.
- Race day, we will have Alamo Beer, Food, Music, Fencing Exhibition, and all kinds of other stuff going on.
- This race is accurately marked and will be like no other half or 5k that you have run before.
- If it rains and creek rises, we will notify you of our plan B. We will still race.

- The Race starts at 8199 Mainland. SA Parks just put up their sign for Leon Creek Parkway.
